Formerly known as the Nhu Thanh Lion Dance Team, the Imperial Lion Dance Team was founded in Worcester, MA at the Pho Hien Buddhist Temple. Established in 2002, the Imperial Lion Dance Team comes from humble beginnings with very little experience in Lion Dancing. Today, the team is lead by Hung Ngo and performs the thrilling style of Hok San, pushing themselves to the limit at every performance. The team’s motto is “prove it to yourself, prove it to each other, and prove it to the world.” This motto has blessed them with opportunities to travel around the country to perform and compete. The team’s goal and dream is to one day compete in the Genting International Lion Dance Competition.
