1st International Water Stilt Lion Dance Championship 2019

We are excited to announce that the USDLDF has been contacted by the Dragon and Lion Dances Federation MALAYSIA, organizers of the 1st International Water Stilt Lion Dance Championship 2019 and they are inviting our organization to select one of our member teams to participate in their championship representing the USA.

This is a great opportunity for USDLDF teams to gain more experience and make new connections on the world stage, besides having the opportunity to travel and showcase their talents on an international level.

USDLDF members (teams and individuals) that have already traveled overseas, for either competition or training (or both), recognize how invaluable this type of experience can be for their team in terms of growth and improvement, not just of skills but also of confidence and understanding of the arts.

Event: 1st International Water Stilt Lion Dance Championship 2019

Dates: November 29th – December 1st

• Friday, November 29th – Arrival, Check-in and Welcome Banquet
• Saturday, November 30th – National (Malaysia) Competition
• Sunday, December 1st – International Competition (all other countries)
• Monday, December 2nd – Teams Depart

Location:  Bukit Jalil National Stadium Aquatic Centre KL Sports City
Bukit Jalil , Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Logistics: Hotel, meals, and transportation to and from the airport will be covered.

Registration: IMMEDIATELY 

Awards:

• First Place: prize RM.30,000.00 (around USD$7,100.00)
• Second Place: prize is RM.20,000.00 (around USD$4,700)
• Third Place: RM.10,000.00 (around USD$2,300)
• Remaining teams will receive a consolation prize of RM.2000.00 (around USD$470)

Note: This event is for Freestyle (Jongs over water) Lion Dance only
